On March 24 the first Spanish Soufflearning workshop for trainers took place at the city of Badajoz. Its aim was the transfer of the innovative training methodology to various Spanish trainers.
This workshop, organized by the local partner Badajoz Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, was conducted by Kristin Auer, Director of the Educational Centre of the Bonn Science Shop, and taught by Traute Winzker, experienced Soufflearning trainer.
The workshop was attended by 10 trainers with a background in various fields related to SMEs (communication, banking, sales, tourism, adult education, retail, and others), thus giving the opportunity to draw on a wide rage of experiences.
After a brief introduction in which the audience expressed their expectations toward Soufflearning and the skills they employ in their own work, Kristin and Tara presented the methodology. This was followed by practice sessions where different situations were simulated.
After a heated debate, two different teams were formed:
1) a clothes shop with 4 employees, and
2) areal estate agency with 6 employees.
The attendants played through barious Soufflearning processes. The the role play proved both effective and motivating.
The workshop took place in a relaxed, joyful and highly engaged atmosphere, which was especially apparent in the second part of the workshop in the old town. During this time the trainers were able to share experiences in a more informal way among themselves.
In the end everyone was satisfied with the day’s work but also wished to have had more time to train the Soufflearning methodology. The workshop was seen as the first step in bringing Soufflearning to microenterprises in the region. It was a rewarding experience which offers great opportunities for the future.
